Whenever I return to Paris, I look for different types of hotel in which to stay. The last time I visited, I decided to explore hotels with balcony views, and here's what my research found.
It's no secret that Paris hotels are expensive, and Paris hotels with a balcony even more so. I admit to being shocked at the prices. I live in eastern France and of course prices are far far lower...
But a balcony means a view, and being able to lean against your private railing while gazing over the rooftops of Paris or the glittering lights of the Eiffel Tower comes at a premium.
That world-class view is so special that it's worth experiencing, even if it's once in your life. I've done all the research, and now all I have to do is choose.

Paris is a visual city, with beauty everywhere you look. It's a magical city in daytime, but even more glorious at night. Imagine going back to your room in the evening, throwing open the French windows and gazing upon one of the city's wonders: the scintillating Eiffel Tower. Or, why not the lovely rooftops which have played the leading role in so many movies?
It almost seems not to matter. Hotels with balconies in Paris aren't that common, but there are some stunning ones. Here are 10 of the best hotels in Paris with a balcony.
NO TIME TO READ EVERYTHING?
Here are my top 3 choices for hotels with balconies in Paris!
🎒 Budget option: Hotel Duquesne Eiffel - perfect location, near Eiffel Tower
🕶️ Upmarket option: Hotel Keppler - beautifully designed
🍾 Luxury option: Fauchon l'Hotel Paris - chic and woman-friendly
Prices are often high in Paris, but they don't always have to be and vary widely depending on when you go. For example, prices will be cheaper in August, November, February or March, and at their highest in May.
When I say there is a difference, it can be huge − some hotels will cost three times as much at certain times of the year. Special events also drive up prices, like fashion shows and special salons.
To rate hotel prices, a thankless task in Paris, I have awarded the following, based on the least expensive room in November, one of the lowest-priced months in Paris. Prices rise in other seasons, some by a little and others by a lot, so it is difficult to provide price ranges that are more specific:
$ - budget, or under USD 300 for some rooms
$$ - upmarket, up to USD 800
$$$ - luxury, mostly above USD 800
Here goes, the best hotels in Paris with balconies!
